Repent x Recycle
typography design
A series of type designs that combine 2 words that you wouldn't think to pair together -- repent + recycle. The interesting thing is that they both share similar processes so combining these two words for the development of this concept allows me to explore a the beautiful benefits of both repentance and recycling.
The use of repetition and rotating arrows allows me to underline the importance of these two processes being continual.
Processes They Share
Re-cycling turns waste into new and useful products in the same way
that continual re-pentance turns our waste into new and useful fruit.
When sketching this concept, I knew I wanted a green custom bubble letter, chrome type as the primary focal point. The trash bin which contains ripped pieces of paper, naming the various sins that we should is the secondary focal point of the design, illustrating where our sins belong -- in the trash.
