




So Fresh, So Clean
Nike x Sarain | product design
This is a 'hypothetical' Nike x Artist collaboration project. The project involves designing a product based on the style of a chosen artist and create an ad to showcase the product. Accepting the challenge of choosing myself as the artist, I blended my personal style into the overall shoe design, creating fresh, bold and youthful sneakers for both genders.




The New Blue
I developed these poster designs, with the slogan, "Out with the Old, In with the Blue," is a playful phrase based on the shoe's name, 'Blue Swiss.'

Designing this shoe was not as easy as I thought because I realized quickly that I could easily make the shoe look tacky if not tastefully put together. So, I went through a series of sketching and idealizing for the final vision of the product. My keywords for this design was 'fresh' and 'clean' -- so what better way to impliment a feeling of freshness and coolness than to use a monochromatic blue (cool color) and a pattern that felt like it would add to an outfit, not distract or take away.
I find that repetition and curved lines are often used throughout my work so I felt it was appropriate to also include in this project.

By accepting the challenge of choosing myself as the artist, I blended my personal and graphic design style into the overall shoe design, creating fresh, bold and youthful sneakers for both genders. One of my favorite clothing styles is streetwear because it can be dressed up/down based on how you feel that day. At the time of this project, my favorite color was blue so I decided on a monochromatic look, using only the hue blue.
